Deafness in children is quite common in our community. 15% of our child population suffers from some type of deafness. There are many reasons for hearing loss. Sensorineural hearing loss may be due to - genetic factors, consanguinity, random intake of drugs and medicines by pregnant mothers without consulting a doctor, birth complications, infections acquired during pregnancy, and illness in childhood like mumps, measles or meningitis.
Screening tests available in this clinic are:

• Impedance audiometry
