5th North East patient safety workshop 2019

Patient Safety means reducing the risk of unnecessary harm associated with healthcare. The magnitude of the problem is such that WHO considers patient safety as a global endemic. Improving patient safety & quality of care is a journey and a process of continual improvement. The most important factor for ensuring patient safety is joining hands of the healthcare professionals and institutions and spreading awareness. Keeping this goal in mind, down town hospital organized the 1st North East Patient Safety Workshop in the year 2015 wherein participants from all 8 states of North East Region deliberated to address on this issue. Subsequently, down town hospital organized 2nd, 3rd & 4th North East Patient Safety Workshop in the year 2016, 2017 & 2018 respectively. Eminent speakers from India as well as abroad delivered speeches on various important topics related to patient safety.

In continuation of the above, down town hospital now announces the 5th North East Patient Safety Workshop on 7th Dec 2019 (Saturday). The purpose of this Workshop is to sensitize all concerned for high level support and commitment to tackle patient safety issues all over the world.

Reputed speakers from Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, SGPGI Lucknow, Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai, CMC Vellore, Tata Medical Centre Kolkata, along with senior officials like IGP CID Assam and Food Safety Officer–Govt of Assam & speakers from many reputed hospitals of India will present their work and interact with the participants.

We are also organizing a Poster Presentation (Size: Height 3 Ft. width-2 Ft.) and Slogan writing competition on “Patient Safety”. Best poster and slogan will be awarded with prize money and certificate.
